The software is linux, so root is always there. I've used a few of these Thomson / Technicolor modems before throughout the years. I'd like to get full functionality or put DDWRT on it to have a play with that.I'd be keen to get the software from the 2nd partition which you managed to boot, if it's anything different to the Telstra software.
