On the other hand, macOS is a carefully designed ecosystem with much less peripherals/components to choose from, which means less compatibility but also less conflicting components, hence a more stable system overall. When it comes to music production from a pure professional standpoint, macOS is leading the race with its CoreAudio engine. In words that everybody can understand, comparing the two OS's on an identical machine you will find that when both OS's use all their resources under extreme system stress and playing video and audio at the same time, macOS will struggle to produce sound correctly whereas Windows will struggle to play the video correctly. In other words, macOS for audio is slightly superior to Windows simply by its internal system architecture. This though, is something that few users will notice, as very few push their computer systems to their actual limits.
